The attached puppy deposit totaling $500 ($535 with tax) is NON-REFUNDABLE, AND NO CREDITS OR REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED FOR ANY REASON.
The $535 deposit charge will remain on the original method of payment, usually a credit card or debit card transaction. The $500 ($535 with tax) deposit is not refunded and is applied as cash at the time of sale, although no cash is actually transferred. The balance of the puppy sale is transacted by credit card or debit card, minus the $500 ($535 with tax)deposit. If the balance is paid in cash, the $500 ($535 with tax) deposit will show on the receipt as a check, although no check is actually used.
The deposit holds the puppy for up to 48 hours unless the customer is purchasing a new arrival puppy, as described below. By placing the deposit, the above-named customer acknowledges that they intend to purchase the puppy in full within this 48-hour period. If the above-named customer later decides, for any reason, not to pay the total balance due within the 48-hour period, the deposit will be automatically forfeited. These terms and conditions for placing a deposit on a puppy are non-negotiable, and the deposit may not be used for any other purpose.
If the customer is purchasing a new arrival puppy, the deposit will be held until the end of the day on which the licensed veterinarian examines the puppy. If the pet does not pass the initial inspection, the customer will receive a full refund of the deposit. If any medical conditions are detected during the initial veterinarian exam, but the pet is still cleared to go home, and the customer chooses not to adopt, the customer will forfeit the $500 ($535 with tax) deposit.
